Great Link for ISSU on 7K, a well written blog by Fry Guy

I'll highlight some upgrade commands from Fry Guy's blog:
Fry Guy: "Prior to the upgrade of the code, I highly recommend checking the impact of the upgrade. This is a good command to run when you are preparing your Chance Controls as you can validate the file as well as the impact. You can do this by using the following command"
N7K1# show install all impact kickstart bootflash:n7000-s1-kickstart.5.0.3.bin system bootflash:n7000-s1-dk9.5.0.3.bin
Actual upgrade command
install all kickstart bootflash:n7000-s1-kickstart.5.0.3.bin system bootflash:n7000-s1-dk9.5.0.3.bin
Always great to read the latest Cisco docs on ISSU, which at the time of this post:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/5_x/nx-os/high_availability/configuration/guide/ha_issu.html#wp1070809
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/4_0/nx-os/upgrade/guide/nx-os_upgrade.html#wp295882
This CCIE has a good blog on ISSU as well.

One of the comments on that blog, ( that I also remember from Nexus class), is that if the EPLD on the module needs to be updated, that its not an ISSU! There will be downtime.

Can't copy running-config startup-config on N7K running n7000-s1-dk9.5.1.1a.bin
My buddy here flipped me a jewel of a TAC case, I am really glad for the opportunity! We have a N7K that won't allow us to copy running-config startup-config after enabling TACACS on it.
N7k# copy running-config startup-config
Configuration update aborted: another request for config change is already in progress
#
bootflash:///n7000-s1-kickstart.5.1.1a.bin
